Inclusive Education

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy strives to meet programming
needs for all students through the Collaborative Response Model. This
entails providing supports, interventions and accommodations for
students as they require support. Each student’s program may look
quite different ranging from minor in – class modifications to alternate
programming. Parents, students, or teachers can initiate program
supports through a request to the Inclusive Education Coordinator.
Some students may be assigned a code through the Province that
indicates certain learning challenges. Other students may take part in
Life-skills programming. Students are typically given support through
classroom interventions/accommodations, the inclusive education
teacher, small classes, and teacher assistants.
