Technology

No matter if students use one of the many school–owned devices or bring their own device to school, teachers will work with them to build skills necessary to flourish in the 21st Century.  All students will have access to Google Educational Accounts and will be able to use technology at school, and at home to create, share and express their learning.

St. Francis of Assisi has invested heavily in technology.  Students have access to Chromebooks as well as shared access to desk tops.  They are encouraged to bring their own devices to school to use at school and at home.  Special needs students have access to iPads.  Staff all have laptops provided to them.  All rooms have SMARTboards and integrated sound systems.  All staff and students also have school-managed Google accounts that allow for email, internet and document creation in a safe reliable place that is accessible readily at school and at home.  This technology is designed to mimic real-world learning and working.  It fosters collaboration and innovation. 

Before students will be permitted to access the School's network or use any school- owned devices, they must agree to, and sign, the Technology Acceptable Use Agreement.  Please read this document carefully before signing:

The Enhanced Technology fee ($25.00) is waived if students supply their own Chromebook, laptop, or tablet. The BYO Technology form must be completed before September 30th to receive this discount. No discount will be applied after this time.
