About Me

My name is Dave Waselenak and I am excited to be starting my fifth year at St. Francis as part of Team Humanities.  As a member of St. Francis community, I have enjoyed the community feel that our school embodies.  As part of my journey at St. Francis I have had the opportunity to work closely with families who have entrusted us with the education of their children. That trust is something that I take very seriously and I understand the privilege for what it is.

I strongly believe that education is a collaborative process between students, parents and teachers!  If you are unsure or concerned about anything that is going on, please do not hesitate to reach out and contact me!  I also encourage parents to regularly check both Powerschool and Google Classroom to help support student learning. 

I look forward to the school year and the opportunity to work with both parents and students. If you see me at the grocery store, walking down the street or hanging out at the park, please say hi! One of the best parts of living in Slave Lake is seeing people you know around town!
